I told myself I wasn’t going to even attempt it unless the prompt ‘Dead men tell the best tales’ won. Guess what! I just need to upload something by the 9th and finish by the 31st. Ad money would be really nice.

Feral Godmother

It’s related because I started that for last June’s RRCM contest! Literally I just need 10k more words and then it’s done, but now that I fudged the original deadline there’s just something about expanding upon it that’s going to slowly drive me insane... It was the plan before the above happened though.

Cryptmother

I miss her, chat, I miss my wife. I got hung up and in my head about some things when I ran out of backlog. I really really want to have a backlog again. I don’t know when that will happen as even now, sit down and do the damn thing plans keep getting distracted (and sometimes that is my fault, see above). If I’m really flying, here’s hoping we wrap up the opening arc and are on ““volume”” 2 by October.

Theoretical Defense

She’s supposed to be my ‘do everything right re: releasing on Royal Road’ experiment, she also got absolutely murdered last April when I thought extensive outlining would save me. Killed my motivation dead is what it did, but I’ve been regaining some will to write it again. Progression fantasy, no numbers, absolute girl failure of a protagonist. I’d really like to have an amount of a draft by the end of March.

And when you write it all down and think about it in terms of numbers and executive dysfunctions, that’s plenty for the first quarter of a year. Books are long. Words are hard.
